Course Description

This course is designed to enable professional mediators to practice Divorce Mediation with confidence in accordance with nationally-recognized standards of excellence and ethics.

The curriculum includes:

• An 8-hour module on statutes pertaining to divorce
• Modules on child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, child development as it relates to parenting plans and best interests of the child
• A 2-hour module on the finances of divorce, including retirement plans, investments and future financial planning
• Two 8-hour sessions devoted to role play and practicum specific to divorce mediation.
